From the Worship Leader:I personally believe that Worship is not a Sunday-morning-start-the-service-with-singing-thing... I am convinced that if that is all we perceive Worship as, then God is grieved. I believe that music in worship is simply a means to an end- a medium to set the atmosphere for a unique encounter with the Creator. God longs for us not to go to Worship services, but rather live a lifestyle of Worship, where every minute of every day is a sacrifice of praise for the innumerable blessings we receive - to acknowledge God's sovereignty, even in the midst of trials. Does this mean that our times of worship in music and song are not what God desires- absolutely not! God created music... His Word tells us that before creation, the heavenly hosts worshipped Him with singing, and John tells us in Revelation, that the heavenly hosts continue to sing His praises today. So in my heart, I believe that God is, in His endless grace, granting us just a glimpse of the glory to come in our Worship services. But to limit Worship to a thirty-minute block of time a week is definitely not God's desire. I think everyone needs to step back and examine our notion of Worship, and strive to see it through the eyes of Him that created, and continually inspires it. Tom Chandler
